Manchester City will face Leicester City in their final Premier League match of September, however it seems they could be facing a little trouble on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola has claimed that he has just 13 fit senior players available for the clash with the Foxes at the weekend as his injury list continues to pile up despite being less than a week into the new season.

Of course, the 2020/21 Premier League season is like no other and has not had the break that it would normally have and that appears to have had an effect on the Citizen’s squad already. Although the campaign has been like no other, bettors can still win big when they use top real money casinos.

Having played their second game of the campaign against AFC Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, Guardiola had to field a rather youthful looking side as his hands were tied in regards to which players he was able to pick.

A number of individuals were given some precious first-team minutes at the Etihad Stadium, with some going on to make their debut for the club. One man that shone was Liam Delap – a 17-year-old who is the son of former long-throw specialist Rory. The youngster opened the scoring with a fine strike and the Spanish manager may be forced to call upon him once again.

Sergio Aguero still remains some distance away from returning to action as he continues to recover from the knee surgery that ended his season prematurely.

Speaking about the current injury list, Guardiola said: “Well, the situation we have right now, we have just 13 players available in the first team. We need the academy, not just for the training sessions. They can be selected during the games.

“With the problems we have up front, of course Liam will stay with us. We’ll see if we need him or use him.

“But we cannot forget, like the same way we spoke about Phil Foden in previous seasons, he’s just 17 years old. He has a lot of things to improve, steps need their own time.”

Other individuals who were not involved in the Cup tie included the likes of Nicolas Otamendi and Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Bettors may feel that they have more luck at online slots than Guardiola does with his current squad issues at the moment!

Guardiola had revealed that Otamendi was left out of the squad as they did not want to risk him because of “niggles”, although his future at the Etihad Stadium looks set to be over with the Argentine potentially heading to Portugal as part of a deal with Benfica to bring Ruben Dias to the Premier League.

Laporte was not risked either as he has only just returned to training following a bout of coronavirus and is not yet match fit, which could mean he remains unavailable for the fixture against Leicester City on Sunday.
